I wanted to put a picture here that had nothing to do with car dealers and the best I could find was this one. That's me in the middle with two members of Def Leppard, and two DJs from a radio station in Flint, MI. I'd explain but who has that kind of time?

Now: On to the podcast. I've noticed that whenever I tell true stories of the crazy - often evil - things car dealers do, I get very strong reactions. The typical readers love the stories while car sellers go nuts. It's an interesting reaction. And the podcast I did on Bad Dealer Horror Stories is - to date - the most-played podcast episode of Lehto's Law. So, I give you More Bad Dealer Horror Stories:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that not all car dealers are bad - it's like any profession in that a handful of bad apples can cliche' cliche' etc.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Still, some will take it personally. Not a lot I can do about that. Again, all of these stories are 100% true.

And as always, thanks for listening.

-Steve

seems like everywhere I've worked there are "stories" of us being the worst humans on Earth. Whether it was fast food, sales, construction, and currently at a couple dealerships. I didn't know I was so sneaky and out to rip people off lol :] Good think I'm not a brain surgeon or run a daycare center.

Oh, they are way different now. When they first went to the pop music from Album Rock, they were very different. The station is only a shadow of what it used to be. I was a DJ there for a couple of years.

Thanks. There is a plug for it buried at the bottom of each big piece I write but who reads all that stuff anyway?

Yep. It was closed down a while ago but was started back up in the early to mid 2000s. It's a low power FM station but I was their chief engineer for a year and had my own show every sunday night for 4 years.

Cool. I had no idea. I worked in Flint, Saginaw, Lansing and Detroit and knew most of the stations in most of the markets but have not done music radio since about 1999 or so. Since then it has been mostly talk.

Do you listen to WUOM or WFUM at all? Had those on my radio for 90% of my commuting time from Flint to the metro last summer.

Nice. I have been on MPR a few times. Their main studios are in Ann Arbor. Been there to discuss the Italian Hall a few times, my Turbine Car book, Jet Packs and am hoping to talk to them soon about my new book on American Murder Houses.
